St. Augustine

Wandering Finds

Today’s Photo: a small street my wife and I found while wandering the streets of St. Augustine.

Present though Missing

Today’s Photo: an angel from St. Augustine, Florida seemingly holding up a torch that is missing.

Grace United Methodist, St. Augustine

The image is another from my recent trip to St. Augustine. I saw this church right across the street from the public parking lot I arrived at with the family and just had to go in and shoot. My wife (Jenni) was very gracious and gave me all the time I needed inside; as you can see, it a beautiful church!
By the way, I will be using this image for my HDR tutorial coming up. I’m working on a portfolio page first, but the tutorial is up next.

Castillo de San Marcos

Above: The one that scared the birds away
I’m starting to go through my images from St. Augustine. The one you see above is the second from the series and it was shot at the Castillo de san Marcos Fort near downtown. If you look closely at the top left, you’ll see a pigeon flying away as the smoke billowed towards it immediately after the cannon fired.

Below is just a quite snapshot of my kids Ethan and Grace sitting in the courtyard a few minutes after the image. I’ll be going through the images in the next week or so, stay tuned.

Gateway

Back from a quick jaunt over the weekend to Jacksonville and St. Augustine, FL. The image above is one I brought back from St. Augustine. I was walking through one of the main tourist areas when I ran across this facade of an old building. I had to stop and shoot it, and what you see is the final image. I have several images to post from the trip and will be posting them in the next few days.
